Joseph A. Naples, 66 went home to the Lord on April 7, 2022. He was born July 19, 1955 in Youngstown, to his parents, Phillip and Mary Serian Naples. After being home schooled, he graduated from Chaney High School in 1975. He was a member of Highway Tabernacle Church and worked security for his friend, Joe Cherol at Cherol’s Market. Joe attended the Antonine Sisters Adult Day Care and was an avid Minnesota Vikings Fan. While visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame, he met former Vikings quarterback and Pro Hall of Famer, Fran Tarkenton and acquired an autographed helmet. Joe was an avid chess player and played in both national and international chess tournaments. He enjoyed the Bible and music and frequently sang his favorite song “Tiny Bubbles” by Don Ho. Joe is survived by his brother, Philip Naples; sister, Elizabeth White; and niece, Kim Conner and was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Patty Naples. Family and friends will gather in Schiavone Funeral Home from 12-1:30pm on Tuesday, April 12th followed by a prayer service officiated by Pastor Duane Bull and burial in Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Omni Manor for the care they gave to Joe and Hospice of the Valley for all of their help.
