Luis Maldonado, 77, was born Oct. 6, 1944, in Manati, P.R. Born to the late Alfonso Maldonado and late Margarita Martinez. Luis passed away August 7, 2022, amongst his family and loved ones. He was a very talented percussionist whose favorite instrument was the Timbales (Spanish drums) He was a devoted member of his church whose faith in the Lord was dear to him. He leaves behind his three sisters, Julia Maldonado, Carmen Maldonado, and Gloria Maldonado as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He also leaves behind his daughters, Jeanette Sauceda, Jackie Munoz, and Angie Burgos, his sons, Luis Munoz and Angel Maldonado. He also leaves behind dozens of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Luis lived in Chicago, Illinois and his last wish was to be brought to Youngstown, Ohio so that he can spend his last days with his children, Jeanette, Luis, and Jackie. He wanted to meet his grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he had never met. His wish was fulfilled, and He Peacefully Rose to Heaven’s Gates with what really mattered to him, “The Love of Family.” He will be missed but never forgotten. Sleep In Peace Dad! Calling hours will be held this evening, Friday, August 12th from 5-9pm in Schiavone Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, August 13th at 10am at the funeral home for services.
