Services will be held at Schiavone Funeral Home 10 am Wednesday for Vincent E. Pavis 69, who was born Dec. 29,1951 in Youngstown; a son of Joseph Pavis and Viola Magourias; died Mar. 23,2021.
He worked as an auto mechanic for a brief time before ultimately becoming a truck driver. A lifelong career in relocating countless families and businesses moving furniture cross country and locally.
He frequented many local establishments sharing his legendary humor with many friends.
In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his wife Vikki, baking and selling Kolachi throughout the community. Known by many as the “Kolachi Man”.
He was affectionately called the gate keeper by family as he enjoyed sitting on the front porch of homes keeping a lookout of whatever neighborhood he was in at the time.
A simple kind of man who showed respect to all he met. Vince loved a good party, camping, casinos and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ronald Pavis , a niece Tina Pavis and a brother-in-law Joseph Makosky.
He is survived by his wife Victoria (Makosky – Leith – Dota) Pavis whom he married August 25,2012.
Two sons, Dominic Pavis of Youngstown and Andrew Pavis of Warren.

Sister-in laws; Maria Pavis, Judy Makosky, Roseann (Simon) Graj, Christine (Brian) McCue, Julie Britt, brother – in - law John (Amy) Makosky. A nephew Demi Pavis and many step nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Schiavone Funeral Home on Belmont Ave Tuesday from 5-7 where a prayer service will be held at 6:30pm and 10-11 Wednesday before departure to Lake Park Cemetery.
