John J. Perry Jr.

Boardman - John J. Perry, Jr. went to be with His Savior at 8:30 am on Saturday, January 24, 2015.  He was born in Hubbard,, Ohio, on March 31, 1927, to Ruby Tisone and John J. Perry, Sr.
John married Christine Teresa Altomond on April 18, 1953.  Together they had 5 children.
John graduated from Youngstown College with a degree in Business and worked at Lake Park Motor Freight.  He was Manager of the Accounts Payable Department at Sheet & Tube Company for 23 years.  He later went on to own and manage La Fontanella, JP’s, and The Mansion Restaurants in the 70’s and 80’s.  He opened John Perry Associates Tax Office later in the 80’s.
He was an active member of the American Legion, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He was also a member of the National Society of Accountants, National Society of Tax Professionals, and member of the Mahoning Valley Accounting Society.
Those left to honor his memory are his children: Lauranne (Perry) Roumfort and husband, Mark, from Muscatine, Iowa, and their 3 children, Courtney, Kelsey, and Jared Roumfort; Kathryn Perry-Ortenzio of Boardman and her 4 children, Lauren Kristen, Mark and Megan, and great-granddaughter Amelia; Teresa Perry of Boardman, Michael and his wife Pamela and daughter Andrea of Chardon; and Arlene Arisman and husband Ron, from Bradenton, Florida, and their 3 children Danielle (Arisman) Carroll and her husband Andy  and great-grandson Cameron;  and daughters Jacquelyn and Valerie.
He also leaves behind a brother, Anthony Perry and his wife, Harriet, of Hubbard, a sister, Mother Mary Angela of the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration in Washington, DC, and a sister-in-law Marietta Perry.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Christine, and a brother, Louis Perry.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 28th from 4-7 pm at the Schiavone Funeral Home and Thursday, Jan. 29th from 9-10 am at St. Charles Church with a mass to follow at 10.
