Dear Kathy, Our family loved being your across the street neighbors on Sampson. Our son Scott so enjoyed the conversations and basketball games with your Freddie in your driveway. Mel and I felt broken hearted when getting the awful news.

The Family of Fred Battisti, I knew Fred though the Cafaro Co, where I have worked 10 years. He was a truly wonderful person. Always a smile, always a good laugh, always treated me with kindness, I do not know of anyone at the Company who did not like Fred. When he walked into an office it was as if an aura of greatness entered the room. He treated everyone equally. He was a great example of the person we all strive to become. He will be missed by all, but we will cherish the moments with enjoyed with him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this very sad time. And knowing Fred, I am certain he is telling God he needs to rearrange heaven. God Bless all of you. Marilyn Richards.

I met Freddie when I was 3 years old and he was 15; I sat in the dug outs of many local baseball fields with this kind Hearted gentle giant, as our dads coached and managed many years of baseball. As a little girl he stole my heart! As I grew older, whenever I was at any event that Fred was in attendance, his personality was infectious; his laughter and smile contagious and he lit up any room he was in and he was a magnet for people wanting to stand and chat with him, always bringing a smile and a laugh to everyone who may have been listening! God bless his beautiful spirit!
To his wife Kathy, his children, his brother John and sister in law Dee, family and close friends, our heart felt sympathies & condolences to all as your hearts reel from the passing of this very unique and special person that the Lord placed in your life! Rest in peace dear friend, you were a shining example of Love that the Lord put in your heart and you gave back, to humanity...with out question!

Dear Kathy, Gregory, Maria and Freddie:

I consider myself lucky to have been able to have known and worked with Fred for more than 20 years on the ICSC Convention in Las Vegas. During that time, I not only got to know Fred well, but through him I also got to know your wonderful family. Many times I told him that you all were one of the closest families that I have ever known, and of course he was so very proud of that. We have many fond memories with Fred that will last forever. Rest in peace my dear friend. Doug Wangsmo, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Greg, your family is in our prayers, it is most difficult when we loose a parent but they have prepared us well in their own way for this day. Know you will be loved and supported by all those around you...

Heaven has gained one of the best gentleman, head-standers and organizers who ever lived. No doubt Fred will see the need to enhance the access drives and parking lot layout in God's great mall... the better for all of us. Our fondest regards go out to Kathy and the kids.

I was saddened to hear of Fred's passing. Our deepest sympathy to the entire family during this difficult time. I will always cherish one of my fondest memories of Fred growing up. He told me there was a bear in the woods behind their house when I was spending time with Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary. I believed him, of course!! He was my older cousin, so certainly it must be true!! I had a few sleepless nights!!

Sending love and prayers.

I can understand the way you feel. It is like God has been unkind, but even God chooses the best. A great soul has departed us but the memories you all have shall never fade. May Fred's soul rest in peace. Keep the faith and stay strong. I am sorry for your loss.
