Boardman - John A. Fortunato, 75 passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 in the Cleveland Clinic. John was born March 27, 1941 in Youngstown, to John (Jack) and Grace Camperell Fortunato. He was a Teamster out of Local 377 and served most of his truckin’ life at Preston Trucking Company where he became a member of the Million Mile Club. He loved driving and being free on that highway. He was a 1959 graduate of Chaney High School and member of St. Anthony of Padua Church where he served as a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. Boating was his favorite pass time as he spent 40 years boating and was a member of the Lake Milton Boat Club and 17 years living in Largo Fl. John leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 34 years, Jeanne A. Di Orio who will miss his quick wit, his smile, and above all their love for each other. He leaves his daughter; Mary Jo Fortunato of Liberty, his son; John P. (Kim) Fortunato of Cape Coral, FL, a granddaughter; Nichole Fortunato of Ft. Myers, FL and a grandson; Drew Morgan Fortunato of Tampa, FL, brothers; Thomas (Bebe) of Poland, James of Austintown, and sister; Annette (Dave) Camacci of Poland. He leaves five nephews, Tom (Donna) Fortunato of Columbus, Mark (Karen) Fortunato of Poland, Jim Fortunato of Austintown, Alex Barker of Brooklyn, NY, and Jacob (Leanne) Barker of Colorado Springs, CO, a niece; Lauren Camacci of Poland, two great nephews; Thomas of Columbus and Zachary of Temple, AZ; two great nieces; Allison of Poland and Maria of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his mother; Grace and his father John (Jack) and his second wife; Annette Della Pietra. Family and friends will gather on Monday Oct 24th from 4-8pm and Tuesday Oct. 25th from 9-9:45am in Schiavone Funeral Home. A mass will follow at 10am in St. Anthony of Padua Church and his burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. They that love beyond the world cannot be separated by it. Death cannot kill what never dies – William Penn.
